EU GOES Safeguard Extends to Transformer Value Chain
EU’s provisional GOES safeguard on grain-oriented electrical steel, cores and laminations starts 25 September 2026 for 155 days. Quotas carry thresholds from €2,800 to €5,600 per tonne, plus a €1,140/tonne duty on cores inside imported transformers.
